The Damien Museum is well worth a visit with the class. Choose a comprehensive Damien programme with opportunities for cross-curricular work.

Programme

The programme consists of preparation and processing in class and a visit to the museum with various active assignments. We always work custom made.

In class: once the educational programme has been booked, you will receive a teaching folder via e-mail with tips and assignments for preparing and processing the visit.

In the museum: pupils discover the figure of Damien with his inspiring and current message and the story of 'Damiaan Actie' through interactive guided tours and various active assignments. The guided tour and assignments focus on thinking, doing and experiencing. These assignments take place in the different areas of the museum under the guidance of the Damien Museum's educational staff and/or accompanying teachers.

Preschool education

An offer for preschool education is in preparation. We are looking for classes for a try-out.

Primary education

There is an elaborated educational offer for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of primary education.

Secondary education

There is an elaborated educational offer for the 1st grade of secondary education.
An offer for the^2nd and ^3rd grade of secondary education is in preparation. We are looking for classes for a try-out.

General

Your wishes, points of interest and suggestions are very important to us. Be sure to mention them clearly when booking.
We greatly appreciate your feedback on what went well or less well. We will always ask you for it orally and/or in writing. Of course, you are free to respond or not. But please know that this feedback is valuable to us in order to improve our offer where necessary.

Duration: The visit ideally lasts about 2 full class hours. A shorter visit is possible. Please ask when booking.
Total cost: € 4 per pupil for a visit (materials and guidance included). The accompanying teachers per class participate for FREE.
Number of participants: For an optimal experience, the total group cannot exceed 60 children.
Picnic: There are several picnic possibilities in the area. If you wish to picnic in the area, please mention it when booking.
Combi: The museum visit can possibly be combined with a visit/sports day at the Sven Nys Cycling Center or with other attractions in the area. Be sure to ask about it when booking.
Reservation: Always welcome by appointment. Book your visit at least 3 weeks in advance via the reservation form. We will contact you as soon as possible.
