Programme
Confirmands, spring celebrants and other youth groups (11-13 years old) can be sent off on a quest in and around the Damien Museum. With a handy pocket-sized brochure (Dutch), they go on a discovery in and around the Damien Museum. They follow Jozef ‘Jefke’ De Veuster, who was born in Tremelo-Ninde and later worked as Father Damien on the faraway Hawaiian Islands. He grew into a world figure, the 'Greatest Belgian' and inspiration to all. At the museum, they discover Damien's life and the choices he made. They also explore the neighbourhood around his birthplace. Along the way, thinking and doing tasks challenge and engage them so they can playfully discover a Damien hidden within them.
