60 years of Damiaanactie / Action Damien

In 2024, the Damien Foundation will blow out 60 candles and we will celebrate this in the Damien Museum with a unique exhibition. The seed of this Belgian NGO, just like Father Damien, rooted from Tremelo soil and has been working tirelessly since 1964 together with countless volunteers to help people with leprosy, tuberculosis and leishmaniasis, which mainly affect vulnerable population groups. Damien remains their greatest source of inspiration to this day.                                                                 

Let yourself be guided by impressive images, striking campaign posters and unique objects. The exhibition shows how Damien Foundation has inspired people in Belgium and far beyond our borders to work for a better world over the past 60 years.

The exhibition can be viewed in the brand new exhibition space of the Damien Museum. Welcome!  

Admission fee to the temporary exhibition '60 years of the Damien Action' is included in the museum entrance ticket.
